Western Civilization 2011-2012

Course Description:

 

Western Civilization is the study of the development of European Civilizations from the medieval time period through present day.  Class room instruction with feature the following methods;  analyzing key concepts, analyzing primary sources, analyzing art, artifacts, architecture, political cartoons, photographs, using primary and secondary sources, sociological developments, science and technology, and music.

Midterm exam is worth .75% of final grade

Final exam is worth .75% of grade

Four term average is worth .85% of final grade

Missing work due to short-term absence: one day extension for each day absent.

 

Missing work due to long-term absence: (more than 3 consecutive days) up to two weeks to complete assignments.

 

These regulations are in compliance with the L.H.S. Handbook guidelines.
