   Describe the state of the country during the time your case was discussed in the court.

   Ex. 1963 social climate was distinctly different than that of 2001

   Who was the president at the time?

   Who were the Supreme Court Justices at the time and give a little about each justice’s background?

 

                        Page 2

                        Identify and explain the background of the participants.

                        Ex. name occupation, religious affiliation, gender, socioeconomic class,

                        political affiliations as they pertain to the case.

 

Pages 3

Present the arguments of both sides thoroughly.

 

Page 4

Discuss the long term ramifications that this case has on future cases.  Fabricate a scenario for a future conflict that can be hypothetically resolved by referring to this case.

 

Page 5

Give your opinion as to whether you agree or disagree with the court’s ruling and why.
